Wednesday’s Child, Inc. is 501c3 primarily-volunteer driven organization that relies heavily on individuals and groups for monetary resources and episodic volunteer personnel needs. We very much appreciate the opportunity to share this great work with other folks as a way to spread awareness and help our abused, abandoned and neglected children find forever families.

Like us on Facebook as another great way to keep in touch with us, help us grow our network and expand our reach, and share the stories of these amazing kiddos. Find us here.
Make a monetary donation to help us provide resources. Your donations help pay for adoption recruitment efforts and help guide families through the process. We also support the children while they wait, sometimes for years, with things like school trips, braces, holiday gifts and musical instruments so they can feel like they belong. You can make your tax deductible contribution here.
Coordinate a company volunteer effort for our promotional events like speaking engagements, our booth at the Kentucky State Fair, and other outreach volunteers. Or, perhaps help us with our holiday present shopping, wrapping, or fundraising telethon.
Host a third party fundraiser and raise funds in a way that is personal and fun for your company and clients. Maybe you’d like to hold a car wash or a bake sale or an auction. Perhaps you offer a Dress Down Friday for a weekly “fee” which you donate to Wednesday’s Child. The more creative, the better. If you decide to do something like this, e-mail us here to discuss specifics and requests promotional brochures and such.
Connect us to other groups you might know so we can broaden our network, raise more awareness, and help these Wednesday’s Child children find forever homes. We can come talk to those groups.
Share your employees’ adoption stories with us as testimonials for why the work we do is so important. We have found that there is almost always someone at a company who has been touched by adoption or fostering. Send your story here.
Inform your employees about becoming an adoptive family by attending one of our Information Meetings or visiting this part of our website to learn more.
Encourage staff involvement on a committee or our board to help our work on a strategic level. Our Nominating Committee meets annually to identify potential new board members and especially with business talent. Committees are always looking for help.
Hold a “stuff” drive for our children. They often need things from luggage to move from placement to placement to electronics to clothes. We are in the process of developing a wish list of items.
Host an Information Meeting where you bring in one of our representatives to talk about what we do and the importance of adoption.
Sponsor a Program as a win-win partnership. You get promotional exposure, while helping to fund one of our efforts. The primary opportunity is currently the Adopt-a-thon, but other programs are in the process of being developed.
Provide Matching Gifts for your employees who make individual monetary gifts. They make a donation and you incentivize them with an equal match.
Consider an Employee Giving Campaign where your employees opt-in to adopt Wednesday’s Child as their charity and a portion of their paycheck is designated to Wednesday’s Child.
